About NY Startup Funding

Last updated October 29, 2026

NY Startup Funding is operated by Funded and Running. It is an independent online directory for New York entrepreneurs who are ready to launch but don't yet have the financing.

What We Do

We publish local guides for cities and towns across New York State. Each guide covers the area's economy, free local business resources, and startup ideas that fit the community. We also connect founders with a credit-based startup funding program offered through our lending partner.

How We Work With Our Funding Partner

We are a referral partner of Reveal Lending. When you click a funding link on this site, you leave our site and apply directly with the funding partner. We are not a lender, we do not make credit decisions, and we never see your full application. We may receive compensation when you apply or are funded. Read our affiliate disclosure for details.

Our Standards

  • We state the program's requirements plainly, including the 680 FICO minimum, the under-50% utilization rule for each credit card, and that the 0% rate is introductory.
  • We point founders to free resources such as SBDCs, SCORE, and SBA district offices, whether or not they apply for funding.
  • We correct errors when we find them. If you spot one, email us.

How Startup Funding Works for New York Founders

NY Startup Funding is a referral partner, not a lender. Approval is not guaranteed. The 0% rate is introductory; standard rates apply after. Terms are set by the funding partner.

You have the idea. You have the plan. Maybe you've even picked out the name.

But when you walk into a bank, the first thing they ask for is two years of business history. And on day one, you don't have it.

That's the wall most New York entrepreneurs hit. Not a bad idea. Just no track record yet.

There's another way to fund a startup. It's called credit-based startup funding, and it's built for founders who are just getting started.

Instead of looking at your business history, approval is based on your personal credit.

That means no revenue required. No time in business. No bank statements. No tax returns.

Qualified founders can get up to $150,000, with an introductory 0% rate for up to 24 months.

Here's what you need. A FICO score of 680 or higher. Every credit card below 50% of its limit, with none maxed out. And a credit report pulled within the last seven days, with no credit freezes.

You can pull your report for free at annualcreditreport.com. Checking your own credit doesn't affect your score.

From Buffalo to Brooklyn, from Albany to Long Island, New Yorkers are turning ideas into businesses.

If you have the idea, the mission, and the credit, the funding may be closer than you think.

Check if you qualify today at nystartupfunding.com.
